- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is soliciting for the Drydock and bowthruster replacement of the U.S. Naval Vessel YTT-10. Performance is expected to commence on 5 Mar 2006 and be completed no later than 31 Mar 2006. The Government will deliver the boat to the awardee’s dry dock. The repairs anticipated involve the following work items: Docking and Undocking, clean tanks/spaces, existing bowthruster and anchor crane removals, bowthruster installation, tempororary shore services and accomplish dock and sea trials. Vessel characteristics: Length Overall: 186 feet 6 inches, Beam 40 feet 0 inches, Design Waterline (dwl), 10 feet 6 inches, and full load displacement 1200 long tons. Hull construction: steel. There is an option for one additional bowthruster install for USNV YTT-11. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued by 23 Dec 2005. The anticipated closing date of the solicitat! ion will be 25 January 2006. The anticipated dates when the vessel is available for contractor shipcheck will be provided within the solicitation document. When issued, the RFQ will be posted electronically via the NECO website and on the NUWC Division Keyport, Acquisition Division website. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to hoodd@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ/amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. Af! ter downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quote s must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, (3) manufacturer information of proposed items and (4) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov).
