Description

U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM) Acquisition Center, Edgewood Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010-5424 intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract using FAR Part 12 commercial item contracting p rocedures with Smiths Detection Edgewood, Edgewood, MD for the following commercial items (quantities are estimated maximum quantities): 5,200 ea. M22 Automatic Chemical Agent Alarm Systems (ACADAs); 1,500 ea. M88 Chemical Agent Detectors; 1,000 ea. M28 AC ADA Power Supplies; 150 ea. M281 ACADA Mount Kits; 300 ea. 24/7 ACADAs; 150 ea. 24/7 ACADA Power Supplies; 50 ea. Model D ACADAs; and associated ACADA spare parts. Deliveries will be made from April through December 2006. The proposed contract is a follo w-on to Contract DAAD13-03-C-0031, for these supplies. Since significant quantities of these items have been procured and fielded for the Joint Services and since Smiths Detection owns the technical data rights to these items, contract award will be made on the basis of other than full and open competition.
