- Description
- The Bonneville Power Administration is conducting a market survey in order to develop a list of qualified potential sources to complete on going communications infrastructure work in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Typical contracts range from $10,000 ? $250,000 and could include the following types of work. a) Install wood poles for mounting UHF antennas. b) Furnish and install various sized monopoles and self-supporting communications towers, including concrete tower foundations, to be used for microwave communications system. Install grounding and ice-bridges. c) Furnish, install and test UHF and microwave antenna systems. d) Furnish, rack and stack radio and fiber equipment, install and test radio and fiber systems. Equipment could include, but not limited to Alcatel MDR-8000, Microwave Data Systems, LEDR II, NEC-3000, IMACS channel bank, Cisco 15454, IMCI Open-I, Ardax Orderwire and Cisco routers and DC/DC converters. e) Turnkey site development, including the installation of precast concrete communications shelters. Responses should include: a) Past experience describing projects similar in size and scope to those described. b) List of key personnel who might be expected to work on these projects, with their qualifications. c) What types of work would you expect to subcontract? d) References for these projects; including phone number, address, and e-mail if available. e) Training or Certification process for staff to develop and maintain a high level of safety when working with electrical and climbing hazards. f) Statement on number of lost time accidents that the company has experienced per employee or work hours. g) Company size, location of and size of crews.
