BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR VERTICAL BAND SAW AT ICE HARBOR DAM SCOPE Contractor shall furnish and deliver new vertical band saw, Clausing Kalamazoo vertical band saw model V2812F or equal, to Ice Harbor Dam. Government personnel will install the vertical band saw. The contractor shall also provide three (3) Operation and Ma intenance Manuals describing the setup, parts, operation and annual maintenance for the vertical band saw. The new vertical band saw shall be warranted for materials and labor for a period of no less than two years. STARTER The starter for the vertical band saw shall be a magnetic starter with a 110 Volt control circuit and overload protection. POWER REQUIREMENTS Power requirements for the new vertical band saw shall be 480/60/3 (Volt/Hertz/Phase). MOTORS The new vertical band saw shall include three (3) 3 horsepower TEFC Motors. TRANSMISSION Transmission for the new vertical band saw shall be dual range. TABLE The table for the new vertical band saw shall be 26 ?-inches by 29-inches. The table shall be made of heavy-duty cast iron. The table shall have a two-way tilt of 15 degrees left and 45 degrees right. FEATURES The new vertical band saw shall include the following items, bonded rubber band wheels, 110 Volt work light, built-in air chip blower, blade tension indicator, blade speed indicator, rip fence, miter gauge and locking band wheel doors. CHEVRON BLADE GUIDE INSERTS The new vertical band saw shall include the following chevron guide inserts with back-up rollers: 1/8-inch, ?-inch, 3/8-inch, ?-inch, 5/8-inch, ?-inch and 1-inch. BLADE WELDER The new vertical band saw shall come with a 1-inch capacity blade welder, shear and flash grinder, Causing welder/shear (or equal), to manufacture blades from stock blade material. DIMENSIONAL SPECIFICATIONS The new vertical band saw shall have a throat of 28-inches, a work height of 12-inches, a blade length capability of 197-inches to 199-inches, a blade width capability of 1/8-inches to 1-inch, variable blade speed of 50 to 5200 feet per minute, a net weigh t of 1650-pounds and an overall length x width x height of 61-inches by 41-inches by 91-inches. SCHEDULE SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY Delivery shall commence no later than 60 days after award of contract. Contractor shall make prior arrangements with the Government Personnel at site to deliver and unload the equipment during Normal working hours. Normal working hours at Project is 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The delivery shall arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. during normal working days.
