- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Joint Planning and Development Office (JPDO) requires technical support services to assist in the planning, research, development, engineering, implementation, and establishment of the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NGATS). The JPDO is spearheading the mission to build and implement the NGATS. This system will enhance the technologies, processes, and methodologies employed in the current system and respond to market and regulatory forces that shape the air transportation environment over the next twenty years. To accomplish this mission, the JPDO is charged with forming and serving as the system integrator of a collaborative enterprise. The enterprise is to combine efforts of six agency partners and draw on the insights and expertise of industry and the aviation community to build a target 2025 system. In December 2004, the JPDO issued the Integrated Plan for the Next Generation Air Transportation System. To obtain further information on the Joint Planning and Development Office and the Next Generation Air Transportation System visit www.jpdo.aero. The FAA anticipates the award of Technical Assistance Contract of the Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type with fully loaded fixed hourly labor rates, with a period of performance of one year from the date of award and four one-year options, for a total of five years.
