Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole-source task order under Basic Ordering Agreement, N00019-02-G-3236 to General Electric Transportation - Aircraft Engines for the procurement of various Engineering and Technical Support Services for the T58-GE-16A Engine Reliability Improvement Program (ERIP) for the USMC CH-46E propulsion system. These services specifically related to the ERIP program include performance support at the Naval Depot at Cherry Point, NC for data reduction analysis, Physical Configuration Review of the ERIP Module and ERIP Sustaining and Engineering support. General Electric Aircraft Engines has retained all proprietary data and software rights for the T58 ERIP engine. Industry is notified that the Government does not have access to, nor is it planning to obtain the technical propeitary data, manufacturing tooling and software rights for any of the components that make up the T58-GE-16 Gas Path Module. Based on the proceeding information, General Electric is the only known firm that posesses the necessary knowledge, experience, technical data and tooling necessary to perform the required efforts.
