Description
SUBJECT: Y-CONSTRUCTION OF NEW COURTHOUSE IN LAS CRUCES, NM. POC Lisa B. Byrd, Contracting Officer, telephone 817/978-2714; fax 817/978-7017; e-mail address: lisa.byrd@gsa.gov DESC: NAICS CODE 236220 - Solicitation No. GS-07P-05-UEC-3034 (formerly GS-07P-05-UHC-ZZZZ) This amendment is issued to incorporate the changes described below. The referenced attachments (sketches) cannot be incorporated in this FedBizOps announcement. They will be available as attachments to an e-mail message, upon request from the Contracting Officer at lisa.byrd@gsa.gov 1) Note 49 on Sheet CP101 addresses the requirement for the Contractor to provide a guard booth. There are no specifications for this guard booth. Contractor is to provide a pre-manufactured guard booth based on Delta Scientific Standard Guard Booth CK 46 or equal. 2) At the first floor areas 102 and 103, detail A3/AE411, there are some PL7 (Walnut) casework items at the Security Desk. The attached details of the entry counter are hereby added to Sheet AE403. 3) The PVC pipe subdrain shown on Sheet S509 shall be connected to transverse drain TD1 as shown on Sheet P101 for discharge. The contractor shall include details in the structural submittals for any pipe penetrations through walls. These details shall be approved by the design structural engineer. 4) Keyed Note 41 on Sheet CP102 is deleted in its entirety. 5) Clarification ? the entire structure at the glass roof shown on Sheet S180 will receive intumescent fireproofing. This includes all columns that are supporting this structure. Conference Room 1123 and Hall 1121 on Sheet AB104 have exposed structure over head which will receive intumescent fireproofing. 6) Clarification ? per the Finish Schedule, there is a flush-mount corner guard condition (X1) and rigid wall protection (X9). X9 is scheduled in Remarks typically in janitorial rooms and shown on Finish Plans as ?RIGID?. Install corner protection (to match color of wall) in the Hall 113 extending from the Loading Dock. 7) Specification Section 05585 ? location of metal screens. Install the fabric screens at window openings on the first floor east side. These would be installed on the inside of the window frame and glass, fastened to the head jamb and sill of the window opening. See Sheets AB103 and AB104. All openings on the east face of the building to receive screens; the middle window 52 does not need the screen. See Sheet AB105. Windows between column lines J through F on the east face are to receive screens. 8) Delete Specification Section 08332 Overhead Coiling Counter Doors in its entirety. 9) Clarification of Specification Section 08716 ? provide an automatic operator on Door 101B only. This is the only handicap push button type door. 10) Reference Sheets AE414 and AE415 ? the courtroom seals are to be cast bronze with raised letters and logo. 11) Keyed Note 13 on Sheet AB103 identifies the location of the Directory. The Directory will be mounted on the west side of Stair A. 12) Reference Sheet AB103 for the location of the 6? x 8? plaque. This plaque will be mounted on the south side of Stair A. 13) Page 12 of Specification Section 10431 describes the 6? x 8? plaque to be displayed in the Building. The number of names on the plaque and the exact plaque elevation design will be provided by the Owner and Architect prior to fabrication. The Contractor should allow for 1,000 names to be etched into the bronze plaque. 14) The size of the dark bronze seal above the exterior letters should be 6?0? in diameter. 15) The exterior architectural letters shown on Sheet AE204 and described in Specification Section 1043 are to be cast aluminum dark bronze, 18? Helvetica. 16) Revise Paragraph 2.2 B. in Specification Section 10431 to read: ?Basis of Design Product: as described within this specification section.? 17) Revise Drawing QJ-0-03 to read ?Room 194? in lieu of ?Room 110?. 18) Clarification ? Specification Section 08055 All exterior windows require blast resistant glazing and framing. Exception only at openings receiving bullet resistant glazing as scheduled. 19) Clarification ? Sheet AE622 Glass type at window 1A should be changed to G4; add insulated to this glass type at the 1A condition. See Sheet AB104 for all windows having a 1A symbol. See Sheet AB105 for windows located on the east and north elevations to receive glass type G4 with insulated glass. 20) ADD: Detail A5 to Sheet AE502. Typical freestanding column in garage detail. See attached sketch. 21) Clarification of Option #8 ? the color and finish of the precast. The base of the concrete panels is white Portland cement with a smooth finish, sharp edges and corners; no eased edges. The color is a light limestone. 22) Add the following language to the Voice and Data Cabling Specifications provided with Amendment No. 7 ? ?Install a 100-Pair Inside Riser Cable to extend from the Telco Demarcation Room (termination point for the OSP cable to the Runnels Federal Building) over to the Computer PBX Room MDF. Terminate this short 100-Pair CMR type cable on 110-100 blocks with C5 chips on both ends. This will allow the extension of the 100 OSP pairs from the Runnels Federal Building that terminate in the Telco Demarcation Room to continue into the Computer PBX Room. 23) Specification Section 13700 (Amendment No. 7) ? Paragraph 2.4 A.2. is revised to read ?Console shall be located in CSO Office room 194.? 24) Specification Section 14420 ? Wheelchair Lifts is deleted in its entirety. 25) ADD: Specification Section 10675 ? Mobile Storage Shelving Units (See attached) 26) ADD: the following paragraph to Specification Section 05500 ? Metal Fabrications 2.23 ? Abrasive Metal Nosings A. Cast-Metal Units: Cast gray iron, Class 20, with an integral abrasive finish consisting of aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, or a combination of both. Fabricate units in sizes and configurations indicated and in lengths necessary to accurately fit openings or conditions. 1. Nosings: Cross-hatched units, 3 units (75 mm) wide with 1-inch (25 mm) lip, for casting into concrete steps. B. Provide anchors for embedding units in concrete, either integral or applied to units, as standard with manufacturer C. Apply bituminous paint to concealed bottoms, sides and edges of cast-metal units set into concrete. 27) Clarification ? the skylight described in Specification Section 08630 ? Metal-Framed Skylights is the sloping glass roof over the Lobby and canyon as shown on Sheet AE511, Detail A6. This sloped glazing system is based on a sloped curtain wall with blast resistant framing and glass design. 28) Paragraph 3.6 Schedule of Roller Shade Colors of Specification Section 12494 ? Roller Shades is revised to read as follows: All exterior windows to be X11A. Conference rooms and interior windows to be X7. Blackout shades X6 are required in the courtroom clerestory over Judge bench. Refer to finish schedule drawings AE601 ? AE604 for locations of shade systems. Note: The ?A? of the code indicates it is the color black/brown. Typically, those are for the exterior windows. Without the ?A?, it is the beige color to match the interior walls. If the X number above is not used, it is not within the project. 29) Specification Section 08840 ? Plastic Glazing All references to the Imago plastic glazing in the finish schedule (X8) are deleted in their entirety. 30) Clarification ? Specification Section 03331 Cast-in-Place Architectural Concrete, Paragraph 2.3 C. Provide a rustication pattern based on the following description: Maximum depth of trough relief: ?? (13 mm)Maximum distance between center of flutes: 2? (50 mm) with a ?? 6mm) taper to trough both sides. 31) Clarification ? the exhaust ductwork for the chiller refrigerant purge is the only ductwork required to be fully welded stainless steel. 32) Specification Section 08710 ? Door Hardware DORMA is approved as a hardware manufacturer. ADD: Paragraph 2.1 3. ?Cylinders and locks: Falcon lock.? 33) Sheet Number 433 of 442 of Amendment No. 7 ? Note D is revised to read: ?The structured telecommunications wiring system shall be priced as a separate cost item to the General Contractor.? All other conditions remain unchanged.
