Description

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center (Marriott) under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. The NRC requires the Marriott to provide conference services for an All Employees Meeting and an Awards Ceremony on May 24-25, 2006. This requirement includes four one-year option periods in addition to the dates identified above. Conference facilities must be able to accommodate 900-1,800 NRC employees, provide VTC technology compatible with the NRC and must be within close proximity to NRC Headquarters in Rockville, MD. This notice of intent is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers, however all responsible sources may submit written capability statements which shall be considered by the agency. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested sources must submit detailed technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the requirements above, no later than January 16, 2006. Telephonic responses and capability statements that do not provide sufficient information for evaluation by the NRC will not be considered. Point of Contact Jeffrey L.
