Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Burrelles Information Service LLC, 75 East Northfield Road, Livingston, NJ 070394501 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From a single source, for basic Newspaper Clipping Service of items pertaining to NIST and Special Interest for a period of one year. Burrelles Information Services is the only vendor that has this large of a spectrum of news clips. A lot of NIST coverage is in trade and technical publications. It is imperative for NIST to track all of the news, in order to reach NIST customers in industry. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about January 16, 2006, for a period of one year. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
