This announcement constitutes the o nly solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect throughout Federal Acquisition Circular 05-03. This combined synopsis/solicit ation is set-aside 100% for small business. Lower Monumental Lock and Dam DESCRIPTION Item 1: Reliance, 5 HP, 1200 RPM, 180 TY Frame, 230 VAC (Field Re-connectable to 460 VAC) 3 Phase, Submersible, 25 foot of Cable, Dual Moisture Sensing Probes, (2) NC thermostats, Carbon Ceramic inner and outer seals. SCOPE OF WORK----Governor Duplex Filter Housings Subject:--Brand Name Specification for Traveling Fish Screens Motors--Function To Be Performed:--These motors are used to drive the projects Submerged Traveling Fish Screens (STS). Essential Physical Characteristics: These motors are an integral part for the projects existing STS units and must be replaced with a motor of like kind to fit into this equipment. Brand Name:--The projects STS units are equipped with Reliance, 5-horse power, 1200 RPM, 180TY Frame, Submersible Motors, with Ny Resist Seals installed. New Motors:--Motor needs to be new and have no rebuilt or remanufactured parts. It requires completely new components, which have never been issued or sold. Salient Characteristics:--The STS units were designed by COEs Hydro Design Branch. The motors are equipped housings that mate correctly with the existing speed reducers installed on the STS unit. Contractor shall make prior arrangements with the Government Personnel at site to deliver and unload the equipment during Normal working hours. Normal working hours at Project is 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The delivery shall arrive be tween 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. during normal working days. The Far Clause 52.214-21 Descriptive Literature shall apply to this acquisition: 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.219-6. The DFARS clause 252.212 -7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions, of Commercial Items (J AN 2005) paragraph (b), shall apply to this acquisition: 252.225-7001, 252.232-7003.
