Description

The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Sewer and Water Utility Service to the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge administrative site in Soldotna, Alaska. The project is located within the right-of way of Ski Hill Road and will run from Funny River Road to and within the Refuge's administrative site overlooking Headquarters Lake. Work includes but is not limited to supplying all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision for the extension of public utilities (water and wastewater) pipelines, and a Booster Pumping Station. Project work is to successfully extend the City of Soldotna's water and wastewater utilities to serve the Refuge's administration site and will include: A water distribution system; Booster Station for water delivery; and the wastewater collection system. Work shall be accomplished in accordance with the drawings and specifications and must be completed in the 2006 construction season. This acquisition will not be set-aside. The NAICS code is 237110. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The tentative IFB issue date is on or about 01/23/2006 with a 30 day closing. A 20% Bid Guarantee will be required as well as 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds. Prospective bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV and complete the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov in order to be eligible for award.
