Description
PROPOSERS? DAY CONFERENCE STRATEGICALLY HARDENED FACILITY DEFEAT (SHFD) PROGRAM DARPA will host a Proposers? Day Workshop in support of the BAA06-16, Strategically Hardened Facility Defeat (SHFD) program on January 26, 2006 at One Virginia Square, 3601 Wilson Blvd, 3rd Floor, Arlington, Virginia from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The purpose of this Conference is to provide information on the program; promote additional discussion on this topic; address questions from potential proposers; and provide a forum for potential proposers to present their capabilities for teaming opportunities. The DARPA Strategically Hardened Facility Defeat (SHFD) program seeks to develop non-nuclear earth-penetrating technologies for the defeat of hard and deeply buried targets with major strategic capabilities. Proposals will be solicited for an end-to-end system that is designed by an appropriate multidisciplinary research team with coordination and implementation support from an integrator. DARPA anticipates releasing Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) 06-16, a Proposers Information Pamphlet (PIP), and DD Form 254 ?Contract Security Classification Specification? in association with the SHFD program. Details regarding program objectives, development and integration schedule, and milestone criteria will be provided in a classified addendum to this BAA. REGISTRATION INFORMATION Participants must register NLT January 20, 2006, by contacting Julie Ard at (703) 351-8481, jard@sysplan.com. Directions to the facility and other materials are available on the following website: http://www.darpa.mil/ato/solicit/Strategically Hardened Facility Defeat/index.htm. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. The Proposers? Day will be classified SECRET and open to all potential bidders possessing an active security clearance at that level. To attend, your Facility Security Officer (FSO) must fax your clearance information and a Site Visit Request to: (703) 351-8311 Attn: Julie Ard System Planning Corporation by COB Wednesday, January 20, 2006. The ?Purpose of Visit? should state: ?Strategically Hardened Facility Defeat (SHFD) Proposers? Day?. Due to space limitations of the conference facility, attendance will be limited to the first 80 registrants, and no more than 2 representatives per organization. In order to facilitate the teaming that is encouraged for proposal development, attendees may be granted the opportunity to present an overview of their organizations, and discuss their technology expertise, via presentation at the conference, depending on the level of interest. Organizations interested in presenting at the Proposers? Day Conference should contact Julie Ard, (703) 351-8481, jard@sysplan.com as soon as possible, but no later than the registration cutoff date for the Proposers? Day Conference. All material to be displayed at the conference must be approved in advance by both the organization that funded the research and the DARPA program manager. The DARPA Program Manager will screen the proposed material for sensitive material and approve in advance any presentations. It is the presenter?s responsibility to ensure that all material they plan to present at the Strategically Hardened Facility Defeat Proposers? Day Conference has been approved by the funding organization in advance. An electronic copy of all material to be presented must be provided to the DARPA Program Manager for review by January 20, 2006. There will be no exceptions to this requirement. NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE CONTRACTING OFFICER IDENTIFIED BELOW WITH RESPECT TO THIS PROPOSERS? DAY ANNOUNCEMENT, BUT INSTEAD DIRECT ALL INQUIRIES AS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED HEREIN.
