Description

Work consists of site work for the installation of a new well building and components for the existing well, complete new distribution system including valves and hydrants, electrical controls and water tank modifications for the Sandlake Recreation Area Water System. Basic characteristics are: (1) Demolition of equipment in an existing well house, installation of a new well house using pre-fabricated, Government-furnished concrete well building; (2) Modifications and repairs to an existing 10,000 gallon water tank; (3) Remove and replace existing well pump, replace well head assembly and replace electrical components; (4) Installation of new distribution system, hydrants and valves throughout the campground; (5) Abandonment of existing waterlines and appurtenances that run through the campground; (6) Electrical controls for future well, existing well, well house and existing storage tank; (7) Miscellaneous site improvements; and (8) Develop new electric service to new well building. The Sand Lake Water System is located on the Hebo Ranger District, Siuslaw National Forest, Tillamook County, Oregon. The site is situated approximately 6 miles to the west of Beaver, Oregon. The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to accomplish all work necessary. The Government estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. Proposals are due by close of business on February 24, 2006. The successful offeror shall be required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds (100% each) prior to start of work. Contract time is 120 calendar days. Estimated start work date is April 17, 2006. This solicitation is a Total Hubzone set-aside. The solicitation packet will be posted to FedBizOpps on or about January 24, 2006.
