Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITAITION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS ?AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 06-5. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 with business size standards of 500 employees. This acquisition is 100% small business set-aside. In accordance with the Non-Manufacturer Rule, to qualify under a small business set-aside, the distributor and the manufacturer must qualify as a Small Business manufacturer under the NAICS code identified above. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has a requirement for a Scanning Thermal Microscope Probe. LINE ITEM 0001 Quantity?1 EA Wire Bonded Scanning Thermal Probe. $__________ Specifications: The components must be compatible with the Veeco Dimension 5000 Scanning Probe Microscope with a Nanoscope IIIa controller. The wire bonded thermal probes must mount directly onto the microscope and be easily connected to the electronics by the user with only soldering required. LINE ITEM 0002: Electronic Control Module....Quantity?1 EA -.......$__________ Specifications: The electronic control module must be compatible with the item above (Wire Bonded Scanning Thermal Probes). Also, it must be compatible with the Veeco Dimension 5000 Scanning Probe Microscope with a Nanoscope IIIa controller. The Wire Bonded Scanning Thermal Probes and the Electronic Control Module must function together and with the Veeco Dimension 5000 Scanning Microscope to permit measurements of temperature with the resolutions listed under Line Item 0001. Line Item 0003: Shipping and Packaging 1 EA..........$________ DELIVERY SHALL BE FOB DESTINATION. FOB DESTINATION MEANS: The Contractor shall pack and mark the shipment in conformance with carrier requirements, deliver the shipment in good order and condition to the point of delivery specified in the purchase order, be responsible for loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before receipt and acceptance of the shipment by the consignee at the delivery point specified in the purchase order; and pay all charges to the specified point of delivery. Delivery shall be within 30 days after receipt of order. Award shall be made to the lowest price technically acceptable quote.
