Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Only one responsible source has been identified ? Cytyc Corporation, 85 Swanson Road Boxborough, MA 01719, to provide Preventive Maintenace and Repair Services to the Cytology Processor ? ThinPrep 2000. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however responses to this notice received by January 26, 2006 @ 3:00 PM Puerto Rico time will be evaluated. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
