Description

The National Park Service, Grand Teton National Park, is soliciting proposals for the fabrication and installation of interpretive exhibits for the Grand Teton National Park Discovery and Visitor Center, a new facility being constructed adjacent to Park Headquarters at Moose, Wyoming. The work of this project includes the fabrication and installation of interpretive exhibits and provision and installation of audio visual systems. The exhibits consist of static panels, rails, dioramas, and other displays with graphics and text, a three dimensional topographic model with laser program, sculpture, taxidermy, incorporated museum objects and artifact mounts. The exhibit subject matter pertains to cultural and natural themes. Film (media) production will be by others, but the work of this project includes installation of unique (specifically sub-floor) applications of audio and visual systems. Exhibit displays shall be fabricated using traditional and modern materials such as concrete, steel and other metals, wood veneers, glass composites, and other multi-component materials. The Discovery and Visitor Center is a new, single story, 21,000 square foot building that is currently in the early stages of construction and is scheduled to be complete by March 1, 2007. The exhibits fabricator will be required to coordinate with the building contractor on such issues as scheduling and installation requirements. This coordination, including dimension and connectivity issues, shall take place in a manner such that exhibits installation is successfully completed coincident with the building construction completion. This procurement is unrestricted and resultant contract will be acquired by source selection or "Best Value" process wherein past performance and capability will be evaluated as well as price. NAICS code for this procurement is 238990. The project is 100% designed and paper copies of proposal documents will be made available upon request. The estimated price range of this project is $1,000,000 to $1,500,000. The proposal due date is February 28, 2007. Time for completion will be 365 days.
