- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, New Jersey (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N68335-06-G-0004 with General Electric Aircraft Engine Company of Lynn, MA. The purpose of this agreement, and all subsequent delivery orders, is to provide Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) to support a variant of the T-700 class engine. General Electric Aircraft Engine (GE) is the sole designer and manufacturer. The Government is not in possession of the drawings or technical data at this time. The proposed acquisitions are for Integrated Logistic Support, Sustaining Engineering and PSE for all maintenance levels to include but not limited to the following subsystems of the Engine: Compressors, turbines, drive shafts, bearings, combustion chamber, engine casings, gearbox, accessories, hydraulic system, electrical system, oil system, fuel system, as well as PSE repair and spare parts in support of the T-700 GE class engine. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. NAWCADLKE intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See note 22.
