Description

STATEMENT OF WORK CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY AUXILIARY PRIEST MOODY AFB, GEORGIA I. GENERAL A. This position supports the Liturgical and Sacramental components of the Catholic Faith Community B. The Auxiliary Roman Catholic Priest (hereafter called ?The Contractor?), upon request, will provide Liturgical and Sacramental Services as required for the Catholic Faith Community specified in Section IV C. The Contractor will conform to Official Teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and Liturgical Rites II. QUALIFICATIONS A. An Ordained Roman Catholic Priest, in good standing with the Church, with current licit faculties from his Bishop or Religious Superior B. Maintains approval from the Archdiocese for the Military Services to perform Liturgical and Sacramental Services on Military Installations C. Ability to work with the Wing Chaplain, Catholic Chaplain, President of the Catholic Faith Community Advisory Council, Catechetical Formation Coordinator and Liturgical/Music Coordinator in preparing for Liturgical and Sacramental Celebrations according to the Liturgical Calendar and needs of the Faith Community D. Have a current thorough knowledge of the Liturgical Theology and the Rites of the Roman Catholic Church III. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES A. Celebrate Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation Masses B. Celebrate or Administer any of the Sacraments C. Assist with special Liturgical or Sacramental Celebrations D. Assist the Catholic Chaplain as required E. Adhere to all administration requirements prescribed by the Roman Catholic Church for the Reception of any Sacraments, and forward all information to the Catechetical Formation Coordinator or the President of the Catholic Faith Community Advisory Council F. Follow guidelines of assigned Catholic Chaplain regarding Moody Catholic Faith Community?s specific customs and practices G. Maintain professional competency IV. CALL/TASK ORDER A. Upon request, celebrate Sunday Mass or Holy Day of Obligation Mass B. Be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to Sunday Mass C. Upon request, to assist with any special Liturgical or Sacramental Celebrations D. A call/task order shall be issued 15 days in advance before services requested. A call/task order is only required when the main chaplain is not available.
