- THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. THE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE FOR THIS PROJECT IS 237990. IDIQ contract for rental of cutterhead pi peline dredge, with attendant plant and operators, for maintenance dredging of principally the Black Warrior and Tombigbee River Systems and other work in MS, AL and FL. The work will consist of removal and satisfactory disposal of material from navigation channels. Excavated material will be transported and deposited into open water, within banks, and upland sites as required. The dredge should have pump discharge of 24 inch diameter with all necessary materials, supplies, labor and transportation. The con tract awarded as a result of this solicitation will include special provisions designed to incentivize and compensate the contractor for surpassing stated dredging production levels. Estimated cost range of the project is from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. S olicitation documents should be available for download on or around 27 January 2006. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new proce dure for posting all NEW solicitations.
