- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center - Keyport, 610 Dowell Street, Keyport, WA is soliciting for: IX-536 Modifications which includes various maintenance tasks and optional improvements. This procurement will be solicited and awarded as a firm fixed price service type contract. The requirements are as follows: (1) Pressure wash deck and bridge crane; (2) Transfer ballast to center compartment; (3) Fabricate deck crane foundation; (4) Install 230 KW Generator; (5) Reinstall deck capstan, deck and (6) Modify, test and clean the freshwater system. Optional requirements are as follows: (1) Fabricate equipment ? protective overhead; (2) Reroute electrical cables; (3) Fabricate and Finish six (6) moon pool covers; (4) Install deck crane; (5) Load test deck crane; (6) Modify fuel system; (7) Install capstans and (8) Clean deck house and pump room. FOB, Inspection and Acceptance at: Destination. The applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 336611 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 20 January 2006. The closing date of the solicitation will be on or about 10 February 2006, unless a later date is specified in the solicitation. Site visits will be conducted between February 1st and 3rd, 2006, contact information will be listed in the solicitaion. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12, commercial acquisition. When issued, the RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil and on the Keyport Acquisition homepage at: http://www-keyport.kpt.nuwc.navy.mil/NECO/Solicitation.htm Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone or fax requests for the! RFP package will be accepted. An email request to kosteleckydl@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFP from the NECO website. The offeror must have a current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov). Any questions, or requests for references or specifications, should be submitted via e-mail to: kosteleckydl@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil . No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFP / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFP and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same.
