Description
QUESTIONS/ANSWERS I Below you will find a list of questions and answers related to this solicitation. If you have any additional questions or concerns please contat Kimberly N. Keith regarding this solicitation at 919-541-4474 or Keith.Kimberly@epa.gov. 1: Who would support the OAS server? Will the EPA do it or would it be a Silver Star responsibility? The maintenance provider is to have experience working with OAS server and the Visual Messenger application that is loaded on it, as well as how it operates with the Octel 350. The provider should keep us abreast of any additional patches that may be needed to insure optimum performance. EPA, maintains the OAS server hardware and operating system. 2: Does this system have redundant processors? The Octel's server drives (not CPU) are redundant for software files, subscriber database, as well as voice and fax messages. Global Message Redundancy (GMR) is active on the Octel. 3: Does the EPA want the system to be monitored remotely? Some diagnostics may be performed remotely via typically using the RDAC. We expect that all hardware issues require an onsite visit. We have a Gordon Kapes model 125 that monitors environmental conditions and provides password protected modem access. This answer is dependent on the extent of the monitoring in question and would additional monitoring equipment be necessary. 4: Who is the Incumbent? Nextiraone Federal LLC 5: What is the address of the facility that the Octel VM system is located at? U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 109 TW Alexander Drive Durham, NC 27709 6: What is the main phone number at EPA? (919) 541-1504
