Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking sources that are capable of providing VHF-FM Marine Radios; requirements/specifications are as follows: Full Function FCC Type Acceptance Digital Selective Call (DSC) VHF CLASS ?A GMDSS Marine Radio. IMO Compliant COTS DSC/VHF Class A; Unit shall have the capability of disabling the automatic acknowledgement function: Must comply with IMO resolutions A.609, A.803. Other Optional Features: Dedicated Channel 16 Guard receiver; Shall have the Ability to connect or tap transmit and receive audio with Coast Guard RD-681/UNH Recorder-Reproducer or Digital Voice Logger (DVL) or other digital audio recording devices. Can connect a minimum of two remote controllers; Power-Optional Primary power shall be from 120 VAC 60 Hz. Optional 12, 24 or 48 VDC (nominal); The equipment leakage of the current shall be limited to 5mA or shall employ isolation transformers and/or DC-DC Converters with an isolated ground (as part of the equipment configuration) to isolate equipment loads from AC line voltages by a DC resistance greater than 200 mega-ohm kW of the connected load. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. The requested information does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of contractor?s information. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Firms who wish to respond to this RFI should include their Business Size, CAGE Code, Dun and Bradstreet Number and GSA Schedule should they hold one.
