- Description
- The Social Security Administration requires the services of contractors to provide medical consultant services in the specialties of Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Primary Care, Osteopathic and General Practice. This acquisition will be for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. These services will involve the review of medical evidence in disability claims filed under Titles II & Titles XVA of the Social Security Act. No patient contact will be involved. The contractor must have necessary computer skills to view and input electronic case information. Some travel may be required. Contractor will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance under the contract. Contractor shall be registerd in the CCR database prior to award of a contract. Offerors must have: (1) a valid license to practice medicine in the United States; and (2) be available for onsite services 20 hours per week within the hours of 6:00a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The period of performance will be from April 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007 with provisions for three one-year options. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The solicitation is scheduled for release on January 30, 2006. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside. The NAICS code is 621112 and the size standard is $9.0M. Offers received from other than small business concerns will be deemed unacceptable and given no further consideration.
