- This modification is to the change the RFQ number from SP100-05-Q-4061 to SP0100-06-Q-4052 for the re-issuing of this synopsis. This RFQ is for the purchase of the following: Item 0001: 4,471 square feet felt sheet, roll form, classification 8R5, 45% wool, gray, type I, 1/8 in. thick, 0.9 lbs/Sq yd, 72 in wide, mildew resistant, type I, NSN: 8305-01-194-7938 it shall be mildew resistant in accordance with MIL-F-2312, Item 0002: 3,369 square feet felt sheet: roll form non-woven classification 8R5, 45% wool, gray, 3/4 in. thick, 5.4 lbs/sq yd, 72 in width, mildew resistant, type I, NSN: 8305-00-633-9837, and Item 0003: 13, 359 square feet felt sheet, roll form, type I, non-woven, classification 8R5, gray, 45% wool, 1 in thick, 7.2 lbs/sq yd, 72 in. width, mildew resistant, type I, NSN: 8305-00-633-9844. There will be four (4) deliveries to Albany, GA., commencing 120 days after date of award (or sooner). This item should be made in accordance with MIL-F-2312 Previous award history: Item 0001: last purchased in March of 2000 for 2,755 square feet at $.72 cents per square foot with U.S. Felt Mfg., Co., Inc., Item 0002: last purchased in November 1995 for 4, 206 square feet at $2.73 per square foot, and Item 0003: last purchased in February 2000 for 3,637 square feet at $5.30 square foot. RFQ will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (6th February2006) (this is an estimated date). From the Gateway home page, select "Search RFQs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
