Description

The VA Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach, California intends to negotiate sole source procurement with Abbott Diagnostics, Abbott Park, Illinois to provide a Cost-Per-Test (CPT) program for the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 3880 S. Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas. NV 89103 against Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract number V797P-4742a. Preventive maintenance and intervening service to include but not limited to, all necessary labor, material, parts, tools, equipment, travel, and shipping expenses. The NAICS Code is 339112 and the Size Standard is 500 Employees. The anticipated contract will include a base year with four option years. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and FAR parts 12 and 15. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government?s minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from this one source. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement on or about January 27, 2006, 4:00 pm Pacific Central Time. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed award date is March 1, 2006. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Only written inquires will be accepted. No telephone inquires will be accepted.
