Description
The US Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Minneapolis, Minnesota, has a requirement for a contractor to provide Enhanced Healthcare Services under Request for Proposal number RFP-618-06-06 entitled Imaging Services - Departmental Coverage. The successful contractor will provide the services of qualified American Board of Radiology Certified Radiologists, or Board Eligible Radiologists, with Assistant Professor or higher academic appointment, to perform services for and at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Contract services will be provided to VAMC Imaging Department on a 24 hour, 7 days per week coverage basis to perform and interpret General Radiology, Ultrasound (US), Interventional Radiology/Angiography, Neuroradiology, Computed Tomography (CT), Angiography, Flouoroscopy, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) radiology procedures. (Note that Nuclear Medicine is not included.) Imaging sections shall be appropriately staffed to perform procedural studies as scheduled and complete cognitive studies within the VA required turn around time and patient access guidelines. All procedures shall be performed at the VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN. Radiologist staff shall be on-site and available to accomplish all scheduled radiology procedures without significant delay to the patient. This procurement is conducted under the authority of Public Law 104-262 The Veterans Health Care Eligibility Reform Act of 1996, and Title 38 United States Code, Section 8153 Enhanced Health Care Resources. The solicitation has been prepared in accordance with the procurement procedures prescribed in Federal Acquisition Regulations. FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and FAR Part 12 Commercial Items format of terms, conditions, provisions and clauses were used. NAICS Code 621111 Offices of Physicians applies to this procurement with a small business size standard of $9.0 million average annual receipts. The VA reserves the right to make a single award or multiple awards from this solicitation, if in doing so, it appears to be in the best interest of the Government. Proposal documents are available for download from the BOS web site www.bos.oamm.va.gov/cgi-bin/WebObjects/BOS.woa or www.fedbizopps.gov. Electronic offers will NOT be accepted. Solicitation response documents must provide point of contact, address, and telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address of contractor's authorized negotiator. Proposals must be received in the VAMC Contracting Office (90C), Building 68, Room 143, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417, by 4:30 pm CST on February 28, 2006. Faxed and electronic proposals will NOT be accepted.
