Description

The proposed structures and improvements include constructing pile founded pre-fabricated structural steel pipe frame units, structural steel needle gates, sheet pile cells, pump platforms and pump installation north of the Robert E. Lee Blvd. Bridge on the Orleans Avenue canal. Site work will include, clearing and grubbing, placement of miscellaneous backfill materials, ground improvement, stone placement, fertilizing, seeding and mulching. Time allowed for completion of this project has been shorten ed and all necessary provisions (multiple crews, overtime, concurrent operations, etc.) should be made to accomplish this work within the available time period. The estimated value of this work is greater than $10 million. The solicitation will issue on 21 January 2006, and the Proposals will be due 26 January 2006, 10:00 A.M. Plans and Specifications are available to download from the WEB ONLY at http://www.mvn.usace.army.mil/EBS_Contracting/index.asp. There will be no paper copies or CDs available. YOU WI LL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER AS A PLANHOLDER TO SHOW THAT YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE PACKAGE. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO NOTIFY INTERESTED PARTIES IN THE EVENT THAT AN AMENDMENT IS ISSUED.
