- The Census Bureau intends to award a sole source purchase order to Netversant Mid-Atlantic for the provision of and installation of an access control, intrusion detection and video intercom system for the new Census Bureau Regional Office in Seattle, Washington, in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, wherein the system to be acquired is the same as and compatible with intrusion and identification systems previously acquired by the Census Bureau under competitively processed procedures and in place in all twelve Regional Offices throughout the United States. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. No solicitation document exist and requests for such document will be considered nonresponsive. The closing date for this synopsis is C.O.B. 26-JAN-2006.
