- Contractor shall perform inspection, collection of samples and sample testing in support of a major construction project at the VA?s Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR (SE Mt. Scott Boulevard Portland, OR 97266-6937). The construction contact is expected to be between $5-10 million, and its duration is expected to be approximately 600 days. Any contract resulting from VA Solicitation 260-06-01669 shall remain in effect until such time as work under the construction contract has been completed and accepted by the Government. It is anticipated that the construction contract will be awarded in April of 2006. The contract for testing services has an anticipated price range of between $25,000 and $100,000. The testing laboratory retained by Department of Veterans Affairs shall be accredited by one or more of the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) programs acceptable in the geographic region for the project. The contractor shall furnish to the VA Resident Engineer a copy of the Certificate of Accreditation and Scope of Accreditation. The contractor shall arrive on site and begin testing within 1 business day of the VA's order to conduct individual tests. It is anticipated that the solicitation for testing services will be issued on or about 2/1/06. NAICS Code 541380 applies (size standard is $6 million). The construction solicitation has already been issued to the general public. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the construction solicitation as follows: Electronic solicitations are not available. Offerors will be charged $100.00 non-refundable deposit for each set of drawings and specifications. Deposit must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order, made payable to the "Department of Veterans Affairs." All requests shall be on company letterhead to include point of contact, physical mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address.
