Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial Supply prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-05. This procurement is a Total Set-Aside for Small Business in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 442110, Furniture Stores, the size standard of which is $6.5 Million (Not to exceed). DESCRIPTION: Lease with option to buy after one year, refurbished modular workstations for the Macdill Air Force Base Special Operations Command (SOCOM). STATEMENT OF WORK: STATEMENT OF WORK SUPPORT TO THE UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (USSOCOM) 1.0 Scope of work This contract supports USSOCOM at MacDill AFB. The contractor will be tasked with delivering and installing clean and in perfect working order 67 leased, modular, refurbished (not more than 5 years of age) work stations in Building 506C (2 story), to include all parts necessary to meet the design specifications, i.e., acoustical panels, lateral files, task lights, connector posts, end trim, outlets, duplex outlet, etc. Additionally, the contractor shall provide all material and labor necessary to ensure adequate power is provided to each workstation. Power shall be supplied via power poles (also provided and installed by the contractor). 2.0 Period of Performance 1-year lease with option to buy at end of lease year, lease beginning 17 Feb 2006 and ending 16 Feb 2007. 3.0 Contracting Officer?s Technical Representatives (COTRs) The following personnel provide oversight of the tasks governed by this SOW: USSOCOM Facility Branch Chief USSOCOM Deputy Facility Branch Chief USSOCOM Furniture Coordinator USSOCOM Assistant Furniture Coordinator 3.1 COTR Role The COTR will provide direction to the contractor, observe and evaluate the contractor?s performance, and accept the products delivered by the contractor. Feedback, when necessary, will be provided to the Contracting Officer. 4.0 Project Management The senior Contractor shall coordinate closely with the USSOCOM Furniture Coordinator and all relevant Government personnel. This person shall inform the applicable COTR of any personnel changes or anything else that may impact their ability to deliver a quality product in a timely manner within the specified budget. 5.0 Government Furnished Property USSOCOM will provide 67 chairs to complement the leased workstations. The contractor shall deliver the chairs from the Macdill Air Force base facility designated by the COTR and properly position each chair in building 506C. 6.0 Security The contractor shall request escort service, when needed, from the USSOCOM Facilities Office (828-2500, 828-3983) three (3) business days before work execution.
