PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: The work of this contract consists of the general construction of restoration of granite block masonry seawall. All work will be performed under a single contract. LOCATION: The seawall is located at Battery Weed, Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island. Fort Wadsworth is located at toll booth area on Staten Island side of Verrazano Narrow Bridge. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract consists of salvaging estimated 59 granite, face blocks from front of the sea wall, clean salvaged blocks free of sea growth, remove estimated 37 cap blocks, reset cleaned, salvaged face blocks, restore back face blocks, fill wall void with cement treated rubble fill, restore cap blocks, and mortar all block joints. Backfill and compact estimated 714 cubic yard of structure fill at eroded area at the back of the seawall over filter fabric, estimated 864 square yard area. The NAICS code for this project is 237990 and the small business size standard is $31.0 million. Contract duration is 120 days following the notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction). Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation. Search by referencing the solicitation number (above), Department of the Interior, National Park Service. This contract is subject to a performance evaluation,annually and at contract completion. A Government evaluation will be forwarded to the Contractor electronically via the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Contractor Performance System (CPS) website. The Contractor shall register at https://cpscontractor.nih.gov prior to contract award.
