Description
The purpose of this amendment is to change the date the quotes are due by to August 29, 2005 10:00 a.m. central daylight time (cdt) which is shown as the Response Date (this is a second amendment to this solicitation).------------------------------ The purpose of this amendment is to request pricing in the following increments with a 50ea minimum: 50 - 100 and 100 - 500 and 500 - 1,000 and 1,000 - 10,000 and 10,000 - 30,000 The date and time quotations are due remains August 23, 2005 10:00 a.m. central daylight time (cdt) and are not changed as a result of this amendment.------------------------------------- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS) VS NAHP, Suite 3A38 Unit 43, 4700 River Road, Riverdale MD 20737-1231, has a requirement for thirty thousand (30,000) ea Approved Scrapie RFID Tags. (i) THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is APVSHQNH-0088-5 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation document are those in effect at the time of publication. Provisions and clauses incorporated by reference have the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The full text of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Agriculture Federal Acquisition Regulations supplement (AGARs) can be accessed on the Internet at http://www.arnet.gov/far and http://www.usda.gov/procurement/policy/agar.html. (iv) This solicitation is a small business set-aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332999, Size standards in number of employees for this code is 500 employees. (v) (vi) This requirement consists of 1 line item to purchase thirty thousnd (30,000) APPROVED SCRAPIE RFID TAGS, FULL DUPLEX B EAR TAGS, 134.2 KHz THAT ARE OF TAMPER EVIDENT CONTRAUCTION (devices that have an established history of satisfactory use in the target species may receive preferential consideration and the solicitation will be limited to those vendor that presently received approval to produce such tags for the Scrapie Program). See attached Statement of Work. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. The Government intends to issue a single solicitation and make a single award to one offeror. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. The solicitation and all subsequent notices and amendments will be posted on the Internet at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. (vii) Delivery and acceptance of line item 1 will be FOB Destination, Riverdale MD 20737-1231.
