Description
The purpose of this amendment is to add attachment 2, Statement of Work. All offerors shall contact Jacqueline Brown (843) 963-5166) to request attachment 1, Price Schedule. STATEMENT OF WORK CATHOLIC COMMUNITY COORDINATOR 1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Responsible directly to the Wing Chaplain/Designated Chaplain, the coordinator will plan, organize, and coordinate Catholic lay activities with assistance from the Catholic Advisory Council (CAC), a voluntary lay-led council in the base Chapel. Coordinator areas of responsibility include special ecumenical and Catholic community activities, Religious Education classes, and any other Catholic Community related activities approved through the Wing Chaplain/Designated Chaplain and/or Chapel Ministry Plan. Governing guidance comes from USAF/HC, HQ AMC/HC, The Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS), and other DoD, AF and Chapel governmental directives/policies/instructions as applicable. 2. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The base contract period is 1 Jan 2006 through 30 Sept 2006 with 4 one-year option periods. 3. QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of previous experience as a Roman Catholic churcch/chapel programming coordinator or a minimum requirement of an associate degree from a regionally accredited American college or university and have strong familiarity with Roman Catholic worship, rites, liturgies, and music. 4. COMMUNICATION ABILITIES: Must be able to clearly communicate in English and conduct administrative requirements in verbal and written clarity as necessary. Able to have a professional working relationship with Chapel staff, Catholic community, and other personnel to achieve duties. 5. APPEARANCE AND CONDUCT: Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed professional appearance and conduct self in a business-like manner. Able to work in a religiously pluralistic environment and have a willingness to work with people of diverse faith expressions. Must preserve any confidential issues seen of heard within the Chapel staff or facilities. 6. BACKGROUND CHECK: Provide information necessary for the government to conduct and pay for a background investigation clearance to include an approved: a. AF Form 2583 b. a state check if determined by Headquarters (if needed) c. a DCII-Federal Computer Check 7. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: a. will be responsible for the overall coordination of all lay activities of the Catholic community as monitored by the Wing Chaplain/Designated Chaplain. b. will execute and oversee the flow of information to Catholic parishioners, to include the weekly bulletin, bulletin boards, newsletters, special mailings and lay minister schedules. c. will ensure that census information (Chapel registration cards) is updated and is maintained in an easily accessible manner. d. will coordinate opportunities for parishioners to give feedback on parish procedures and decisions. This will be tasked through the appropriate Catholic Advisory Council sub-committees. e. will ensure that volunteers/teachers are regularly trained in coordination with ministry leaders. This is tasked through the Catholic Advisory Council. f. will prepare and submit to the Wing Chaplain a monthly historical report of all Catholic activities. g. will facilitate the preparation of budgetary requirements and calendar of activities then submit to the Catholic Advisory Council (CAC) for the total Catholic program operation. h. will attend and serve as advisor to the CAC and will advise regarding Catholic planning of programs, workshops and parish retreats. Will develop agenda items in coordination with the Designated Chaplain and the CAC. i. will attend all meetings as required and directed by Wing Chaplain/Designated Chaplain. j. will collaborate with the Chaplain Service staff and Chapel community to maintain a twelve-month Catholic Community calendar, which includes liturgical seasons and feasts as well as speciars are notified that failure to register may render their firm ineligible for award (register at www.ccr2000.com or call 1-800-334-3414).
