Description
Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a purchase order with a local privately owned indoor firing range to conduct their mandatory trimester firearms qualifications. All requests and responses to this Request For Quote shall be via E-mail. The request will include the company name, address, phone number, fax number, and point of contact. The range must meet the following minimum standards to qualify: 1. The contractor must make the range area available exclusively to Customs and Border Protection Officers every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 41 days per qualification period and a total of 123 days per year. 2. The range must be open for our use from 10:00AM to 6:00PM on each qualification day. 3. The range area will be closed to the public during the aforementioned period of use. 4. The range must be within 15 miles of the duty station. 5. The range must be an indoor range so the inclement weather is not of concern on qualification days. 6. The range must possess a minimum of 6 firing points. 7. The range must have lighting controls on the range that allow for low light shooting courses. 8. The range must allow shooting from a minimum of 3 yards out to a maximum of 25 yards. 9. The range must have moveable barricades. 10. The range must have a classroom facility that possess VHS and DVD compatible television for training media. 11. The range must possess a ventilation system that meets all existing OSHA standards. 12. The range must have separate bathroom facilities for men and women. 13. The range must be able to accommodate the following ammunition: 9mm, and 40 caliber handgun rounds and 12 gauge shotgun rounds. 14. The range rules must allow shooter movement within the shooting booths (i.e.; standing to kneeling). 15. The range rules must allow shooters to draw and fire rapidly from a holster. 16. The range rules must allow the shooter to perform tactical courses of fire that use steel targets and that allow for movement toward the backstop. The proposed purchase order will be for one base year and one option year. The vendor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration at WWW.CCR.GOV to be eligible for award.
