Description
HSCG87-06-B-643202 Repair a portion of the underground steam distribution system along Seafarer Drive from manhole C-4 to manhole C-5. The job consists of site and steam work at U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command Kodiak, Alaska. The work as shown on CEU Juneau Drawing S-3686 and as specified. The work includes but is not limited to: Steam work includes excavation, repair and backfilling of existing concrete utilidors, replacing insulated condensate piping, replacing steam pipe insulation, and replacing pipe supports, anchors, and guides. Civil work includes paving replacement, installing drainage system for the steam utilidor, and restoring surface features. Steam System Upgrades: MH C-4 to C-8, approximately 750 lf of buried concrete utilidors. Construction items: A. Excavate and backfill utilidors and piping; repair surfaces to original condition; open and reseal utilidors and manholes; remove debris, flush utilidors and manholes, and correct drainage problems. B. Replace pipe supports, pipe anchors, pipe guides, condensate piping, drip leg and steam trap assemblies, air vents, and asbestos insulation in each manhole and utilidor. C. Insulate steam and condensate piping where the insulation has failed or the piping is uninsulated. Insulate appurtenances including valves, expansion joints, pipe guides, and steam trap assemblies. D. Replace bellows-type expansion joints, perform maintenance on slip-type expansion joints, and correct expansion compensation deficiencies. E. Replace direct buried steam connection to Building N21, Air Station Fuel Pumphouse. 2. Roadway/Utilities Upgrades: Construction Items: A. Rebuild approximately 850 lf of existing paved roadway. Rebuild includes excavation and replacement of sub base, base course, asphalt paving and sidewalk, and installing new curb and gutter. B. Install new fueling truck stand under existing canopy structure. This includes 200 lf of realigned access road and a concrete fueling pad with trench drain. C. Replace approximately 850 lf of 10? ductile iron water main. D. Replace approximately 280 lf of storm sewer line with 8? HDPE storm sewer line. E. Replace approximately 300 lf of 8? HDPE sanitary sewer line with PVC sewer line. The project site is located at the ISC Kodiak in Kodiak, Alaska. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237110, and the applicable size standard is $31.0 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form.
