Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 9 Acquisition Service Center, is soliciting bids for Disposal of Radioactive Waste (Service) for the VA Medical Center, Huntington, WV 25704. This is for a one time pick-up to be determined by the Huntington, WV VA Medical Center upon contract award. This procurement is set-aside 100 percent for SMALL businesses ONLY. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to the offeror whose quote provides best value to the Government, lowest price technically acceptable. The one time pick-up date will be between the base period of January 30, 2006 through January 29, 2007. Solicitation documents are currently available at http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/solicitation?number=249-Q83-06. Prospective offerors should not expect notification of issuance of amendments and are responsible for obtaining all amendments as posted. All inquiries shall be IN WRITING and addressed to Pam Dodd, Contracting Officer via facsimile at 615-867-5429 or email at Pamela.Dodd@va.gov. This requirement was previously solicited to contractors holding Federal Supply Schedule contracts with the General Services Administration. The schedule was found to prohibit bids for these types of services; therefore, the requirement is being re-advertised for SMALL commercial business interests. This solicitation closes on January 26, 2006 1:00 PM CST.
