- Description
- The Base Bid contract work for this project consists of all labor, materials, and equipment required to perform all operations necessary in order to modify the spillway at Prompton Dam, Lackawaxen River Basin, Borough of Prompton, Wayne County, Penns ylvania. This includes: (1) clearing and grubbing of the site; (2) widening and deepening of the spillway by common and rock excavation; (3) construction of a disposal embankment from excavated material; (4) construction of a fuse plug; (5) construction o f grass and riprap lined drainage ditches and (6) implementation of erosion and sediment control features. The work to be performed under Option 1 includes: (1) placement of riprap protection at the outlet work of the dam; (2) modification of relief well system near the outlet works; (3) diversion and dewatering of outlet works and a portion of the downstream area; and (4) implementation of erosion and sediment control features. The work to be performed under Option 2 includes: (1) abandonment of a gauge well and associated inlet piping, including demolition of above ground housing; and (2) implementation of erosion and sediment control features. Solicitation Number W912BU-06-B-0002 will be issued on or about 7 February 2006 with bid opening date of 9 Mar ch 2006 at 11:00 a.m. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $31.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00 and bonding is required. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) homepage located at https://www.fedteds.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FedTeDS Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation documents/information.
