- Amendment #0001. This is a sources sought synopsis seeking information of potential Service Disabled Veteran or HUBZone small business firms (nationwide) that have an interest in submitting as a prime contractor, a proposal for the following description: The Contractor shall provide all the needed labor, equipment, materials, and services to plan, manage, perform, and document all activities as described in this SOW. In general terms, the work includes the demolition of the existing metal roofing, insulation, vapor retarder and flashings, installation of new insulated metal panels and flashings and upgrade to roof structural components to code required capacity for a 12,400 square foot pre-engineered metal building. This description is not all-inclusive of the work, and is intended as a broad, general description. The site location is the C-camp Maintenance Area of Denali National Park & Preserve, Alaska. Denali National Park & Preserve is located at Milepost 237 of the General Parks Highway, approximately 120 miles south of Fairbanks and 250 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska. The C-camp Maintenance Area is located on the Park Road approximately three miles from the intersection of the Park road with the George Parks Highway. The 2002 NAICS Code for this effort is 238160-Roofing (size standard $13 million). The magnitude for this construction project is between $250,000 - $500,000. We are requesting that all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in the everyday course of doing business. The Government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) summarize how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle large roofing projects; (2) summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. The list of relevant projects may include names of the project team members and firm, point of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) with titles, phone and fax numbers, project scope, type of contract, and unique characteristics encountered within the execution of the project and approaches taken to minimize impacts; (3) bonding: provide your bonding capacity per contract and aggregate. A capability statement must be submitted in written format. U.S. mail is the preferred method of receipt for a capability statement: National Park Service, Alaska Regional Office, Attn: AKRO-APM (Ms. Marichu Relativo or Mr. Gary Haynes), 240 West 5th Avenue, Room 114, Anchorage, AK 99501 The capability statement must be received not later than (Amendment #0001) February 10, 2006. Limit capability briefing package to 10 pages. Firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registeration (CCR), website: http://www.ccr.gov/. This sources sought notice should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation on the National Park Service, Alaska Regional Office's part to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request.
