Description
******** IMPORTANT!!!! ALL VENDORS DESIRING THE SOLICITATION MUST E-MAIL FALKB@SI.EDU TO REQUEST AND RECEIVE IT AS FBO IS NOT CONFIGURED TO PERMIT UPLOADING TO A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. ************ The Smithsonian Institution is seeking offers from small businesses to handle and move collections objects on behalf of the Smithsonian as the Institution may from time to time require. Smithsonian has an immediate need for these services in connection with Native American collections objects at the NMAI’s Cultural Resources Center in Suitland, Maryland while a new art rack system is devised and installed. This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is being issued to firms with experience in handling collections objects for museums and similar organizations. We invite your company to submit a proposal for our consideration. Your proposal will be carefully reviewed by representatives of the NMAI. Proposals must be sent to one of the following addresses, and must be received by 12:00 PM Eastern time on February 28, 2006. All proposals must provide the information required in this Request for Proposal. PLEASE REFER TO ALL ATTACHMENTS POSTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS SOLICITATION. The RFP, with its attachments, should provide sufficient information to allow Offerors to submit a comprehensive proposal. All pertinent questions regarding the project are to be submitted in writing by mail or fax to the address shown above (Attn: Bruce Falk) not later than 12:00 PM Eastern time on February 17, 2006. Technical clarifications will not be given by phone. If you require additional administrative information concerning this project, please contact Bruce Falk, (202) 275-1600. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (24-JAN-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
