Description
The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA), through the Program Support Center (PSC), has a requirement for a contractor to provide Administrative Support Services for the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be awarded as a cost-reimbursable contract for a period of one year with three ? one year options. Under the authority of FAR Part 19.8, a competitive 8(a) set-aside will be sought. The purpose of this contract is to assist the OMHA identify a range/pool of medical and non-medical experts who can provide expert witness services in Medicare appeals pending before the OMHA. There are four OMHA field offices, located in Arlington, Virginia; Irvine, California; Miami, Florida; and Cleveland, Ohio. As part of their administrative responsibilities, the Contractor shall review qualifications and credentials; prepare letters, mailers and other documentation for distribution to medical centers, managed care organizations, etc.; purchase advertisement space in medical publications/journals; prepare documentation and speak at local hospitals; develop meeting materials and arrange meetings; develop processes and procedures for obtaining services; and prepare documentation for subcontracting with the Medical and Non-Medical Experts. No solicitation document is available at this time. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted and available for downloading approximately 15 days after publication of this notice on www.fbo.gov. All amendments will be posted on, and may be downloaded from www.fbo.gov. Email and Fax questions are preferred. All contractors must have a Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number and be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) in order to receive a contract award.
