Description

This requirement is for the Enhanced Breechblock, NN: 1005-01-454-0398, P/N: 12524527. End item is the M242 25MM Gun. FOB is Destination. Using Best Value Procedures, the Government intends to award a 5 year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantit y (IDIQ) contract. The Guaranteed Minimum Quantity is 256 each. The Maximum Contract Quantity is 2000 each. The estimated quantity is 256 each for Ordering Period 1, 182 each for Ordering Period 2, 75 each for Ordering Period 3,177 each for Ordering Per iod 4, and 126 each for Ordering period 5. The part is machined from maraging steel bar per MIL-S-46850, grade 250, type three, nitride harden oon indicated surfaces. The size is 7.48 inches long x 4.41 inches in diameter with the lug welded per AWS A2.4 -76. This material may have a four to 12 month lead time. Estimated solicitation issue date is 15 February 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c). Therefore, hardcopies will not b e provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/solinfo/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in orde r to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of your proposal. Thi s solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request the TDP by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria. army.mil. Any said requests must contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. Notes 1 and 26 apply. Proposed contract is 100% hubzone set-aside. Please note that the Response Date is only an estimate and will be formalized when the solicitation is issued.
