Description
In support of a proposed construction project for a Museum Support Facility (MSF) at Carlisle PA, there will be a requirement to provide automatic temperature controls compatible with the Academic Research Facility (ARF) controls. All of the existin g buildings have fire alarm systems which transmit unique radio signals to the Carlisle Barracks Fire Department (CBFD). Included in the MSF criteria is the requirement to transmit device specific fire alarm signals to the CBFD. The existing SAFCO rad io fire alarm reporting system, which was purchased through full and open competition, is receiving fire alarm signals from all buildings on the Carlisle Barracks Campus. Any new buildings at the Carlisle Barracks must be connected to the fire department a nd must be compatible with the existing radio receiving equipment. Specifically requested is SAFECOMM Model 4000 Fire Alarm Radio Transmitter as manufactured by SAFCO. The estimated cost is less than $10,000. This notice is to assist the Baltimore Dist rict Corps of Engineers in determining potential sources only. This Sources Sought Announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. All interested contractors should notify this office in writing by mail, email or fax (410-962-0933) no later than 13 March 2006, at 4:00pm local time.
