Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/ Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization in cooperation with the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) intends to award a sole source, fixed-firm price contract to Somers & Associates., Peekskill, NY, to provide additional integration of conference audio/video equipment, staging, and production support for the DISA 2006 Customer Partnership Conference 1-4 May 2006 Las Vegas, NV, (basic functions to be provided by AFCEA). Somers & Associates has been retained by AFCEA for the original design and has therefore obtained all the required insurance, permits and approvals required to perform this service. Involving an additional vendor at this point would cause the government to pay for duplicated services with no additional value added. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) only one responsible source. Companies who can provide this type of services must indicate their interest in writing within 2 business days of this advertisement. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice cannot be accepted since this synopsis cannot be considered a request for quote or a request for proposal.
