- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to negotiate using simplified acquisition procedures with the Research Foundation of State University of New York (SUNY) for technical support and assistance services in the transition process and completion of their current research from SUNY to an appropriate institutional setting that is more capable of meeting data and Quality Assurance (QA) reporting requirements. SUNY has been the location of the Quality Assurance/Science Activity Center and World Data Center for precipitation chemistry for over a decade. All of the present World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Global Atmosphere Watch precipitation chemistry data reside at SUNY. Assistance from SUNY is necessary to transition the program to a different laboratory. It is expected that this process will take approximately seven months to complete. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) is on file.
