Description

This notice is for informational purposes only. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Sheraton Colony Square Hotel 188 14th Street, Atlanta, GA 30361. The purchase order is for the purpose of procuring lodging and meeting facilities for the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) 2006 Annual Scientific Conference to be held April 24-28, 2006. The authority for the sole source procurement is FAR Part 6.302-1 in that the Sheraton Colony Square Hotel is the only known facility with the resources available that meet the CDC?s requirement for the period of performance cited above. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required facilities and services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days fro the publication date of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is procurement is not set-aside for small business.
