Description
Amendment 04 to the combined synopsis/solicitation. Questions and answers: Q1. It will be the contracting services partial or total? A1.See answer 1 on Amendment 03. Q2. What format will be used for contracts, supplier contract format or the US Embassy format? A2. A Firm Fixed Price IDIQ Contract will be awarded by the U.S. Government to the contractor that offers the best value to the US government. Please refer to the combined synopsis solicitation. Q3. Will be there any penalties? A3. Please clarify this question. Q4. Which is the exact contract date and period of the services thus this are partial or total? A4. See combined synopsis/ solicitation. Q5. A base year contract includes from 28th of February 2006 until the 27th February 2007? A5: The base year is for a period of one year. Q6. It will be possible for The Embassy Of The United States extend the closing date and time for receipt of quotations on February.? A6: See amendment A003 Q7. Contracting period services nevertheless partial or total will be 12 or 24 months period? A7: See amendment A001 Q8. Does the main interconnection point fulfills the regulation and standard telecommunication? A8:Offeror needs to clarify which regulations and standards. Also see amendment 02, A6 Q9: Ups, energy suppressor, line port protector, polarization, grounding etc.? A9: See amendment 03, A6. Q10. It will be US Embassy responsibility to extend external pipes towards to main interconnection point? A10. The Embassy will assume the responsibility to build and maintain any and all infrastructure from the Embassy Demarcation Point to the Embassy Main Frame Room. The Offerer is responsible for any and all infrastructure installation up to the Embassy Demarcation Point. A11. For the installation of the services, ?Does exist some disadvantage for the US Embassy to realize civil works in sidewalks and streets contiguous to the USA Chancery? A11. The Vendor will be responsible for obtaining any and all authorizations, licensees, or permission required by the local government offices or municipalities. Q12. It will give necessary support the US Embassy to the provider request to accomplish the civil works? A12: See answer A11. Q13. Will The Embassy permit immediate installation with the present infrastructure while the FO is canalized? A13. See Amendment 03 Q14. Who will provide the rack at the main interconnection point? A14: See amendment 03. Q15. Will the Embassy provide a main Optical fiber distributor (MDF, Main Distribution Frame) for the reception of the suppliers services? A15: See amendment 03. Q16. In order to collect technical further information, please inform who is the current point of contact to coordinate a site survey or technical visit on site, specially for works at the sidewalk and neighbourhoods closer of the US Embassy. A16. All Point of Contact information will be provided upon awarding of the final contract. Q17. The contract of the internet services of EAC members will be consider partial or total? A17: See amendment 03. Q18. What is the list of residences addresses where will be provided the 256K Internet dedicated line access of the EAC members.? A18: See amendment 03 Q19: For Internet access 2048K dedicated line ? It will be the last mile by Copper wire or Optical fiber cable? A19. It is the Embassy wish that services be provided via Fiber Optic media. Q20. Which will be the interconnection interface for the 2048K Internet access? A 20. See answer above Q21. It will be Ethernet or Optical fiber cable? A21. See answer above Q22. Will the US Embassy need a specific router for 2048K Internet access? A22. All needed equipment to provide services will be provided by the vendor. The requested Internet Bandwidth should be dedicated and available 99.99% of the time. Q23. If it so, which router it will be? A23 All needed equipment to provide services will be provided by the vendor. Q24. Will the Embassy of the United States be able to contract partial services or total services for DVC ISDN and IP? A24. See amendment 03. Q25. For Digital Video Conferencing (DVC)/IP, will the Embassy need only 512K Internet access or it also needs the MCU platform (MCU: Multi-Conference Unit)? A25 Current Interface is BRI N/T. Six ISDN BRI would be required. Current infrastructure supports DVC via ISDN. Q26. Which are the CODEC of video and voice for Digital Video Conferencing (DVC)/IP necessaries? A26. Please clarify question.
