Description

The Quantity of 2.75 inch rocket motor propellant grain under consideration is 42,350. HQ AFSC is going to go issue the solicitation as full and open with transportation to be F.O.B. origin. HQ AFSC will be using the best value method in determinatio n of this solicitation. The contractor(s) shall provide all the necessary material, equipment, property, licenses, and personnel to perform rocket motor demilitarization by resource recovery recycling for a variety of 2.75 inch rocket motor grains(to be detailed later in the SOW) . Open Burn (OB) - Combustion of Propellant, Explosives, Pyrotechnics (PEP) or explosive ordnance without the control of combustion air, containment of the combus?tion reaction in an enclosed device, or control of the emission of gaseous and particulate c ombustion products and/or Open Detonation (OD) -Unconfined, violent reaction of PEP or explosive ordnance without the control of combustion air, containment of the combustion reaction in an enclosed device, and control of emission of gaseous and particulat e combustion pro?ducts. (OB/OD) are not permitted technologies for any end item(s) or component(s) contained later in the SOW which will be issued on / around 15th February 2006. THIS IS JUST A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE TO NOTIFY INTERESTED PARTIES ABOUT THE ACTUAL SOLICITATION THAT IS GOING TO BE ISSUED ON / AROUND THE 15TH OF FEBRUARY WITH TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION DURING THE ISSUE OF THE ACTUAL SOLICITAT ION.
