Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate, Hubzone, Section 8(a), and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business contractors for this proposed contract. The proposed contract consists of Construction of Phase I of the Visiting Quarters at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station in Niagara Falls International Airport, Niagara Falls, NY. Phase I includes 36 VQ rooms, 3 Business Suites, Maids' Cart Rooms, and Guest Service Rooms. Construction includes brick and stone veneer or exterior insulation and finish system on concrete masonry, shingles on plywood sheathing on metal deck, steel purlins on rafters supported by concrete masonry, precast floor units, wood timber trusses at entries, aluminum windows, and drywall partitions. Construction shall be complete with an elevator, required utilities, storm drainage, communications, electric, HVAC, fire protection systems, sidewalks, curbs, parking, fencing, exterior lighting and grading. Also included are the following options: Op t ion 1, additional parking; Option 2, all landscape work except berms, sod, and grass seeding; Option 3, demolition of building 508 and related site demolition; Option 4, additional 12 VQ rooms; and Option 5, additional 12 VQ rooms. The project is planne d for advertisement in mid March 2006 with an approximate award schedule of late April 2006. The contract duration is estimated at 540 days. NAICS Code is 236220. The estimated cost range is between $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. 20% of the work is t o be self-performed. Responses should include Identification and verification of company's small business st at us, past experience describing completed projects that are similar in size, scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self performed work and how it was accomplished; capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the doll ar amount listed above and a statement verifying the contractor will self perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished.
