Description

Solicitation 8006-07 provides for two twin engine water scooping airtankers to provide flight services, which are fully contractor operated and maintained, in support of the Bureau of Land Management, Alaska Fire Service fire suppression program at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The airplanes will be based at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska (FBK), 7 days per week. The exclusive use period will be May 22, 2006 - August 9, 2006; 80 calendar days. The contract period will be one year from date of award with a government unilateral option for two additional years. The contract requires two twin engine water scooping aircraft with a payload of at least 1,400 US gallons of water. The Contractor shall possess an Agricultural Aircraft Operations Certificate issued under 14 CFR Part 137 or a Letter of Registration issued by the FAA authorizing Firefighting and/or Forest Fire Management Operations. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is February 1, 2006. The solicitation will be available at this site and www.oas.gov/dam.
