- NUWC Keyport intends to issue a sole source solicitation to the University of Hawaii-Institute of Astronomy in support of the design, fabrication, integration and testing of a submersible deployable infrared imaging system; and provide hardware system and related documentation in accordance with specifications. Period of performance to be from date of award through September 30, 2006. The solicitation number for this requirement that will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) is N00253-06-Q-0005. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 611310 with a size standard of $6,000,000.00. This request for quote (RFQ) will be posted electronically on the NUWC Division Keyport, Acquisition Division website. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. It is anticipated that the Request for Quote and Statement of Work will be available for download on or about February 15, 2006 at: http://www-keyport.kpt.nuwc.navy.mil/NECO/Solicitation.htm. Offers shall be FOB Destination to NUWC Keyport, Hawaii Detachment, 1894 Wasp Blvd, Bldg 133, Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, HI 96860-5809. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ/amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same. After downloading the solicit ation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, (3) manufacturer information of proposed items and (4) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov ). Phone requests for the solicitation package will not be accepted. Numbered note 26 applies.
